My favorite movie
As the theme of this blog was free to decide to write about my favorite movie, I actually have many favorites, but the most recent is Split. A psychological and suspense horror film, premiered a short time ago (January 20), and its director is M. Night Shyamalan.
It is about a young man, Kevin who suffers from dissociative identity disorder (DID), more commonly known as multiple personality disorder. Within it live 23 different identities. Among them are the personalities of Barry, an aspiring fashion designer; Dennis, an obsessive-compulsive; Hedwig, a naughty boy of nine years old, and Patricia, a woman of great authority acting suspiciously kind. In order to control his disorder, Kevin receives the help of Dra. Fletcher, a psychiatrist who has dedicated his life to the defense of people with DID.
The problem comes when some of the more troubled personalities within Kevin create a plan with a mysterious and nefarious purpose. So Dennis kidnaps three teenage girls, hiding them in an underground bunker where their lives depend on this peculiar young man with shifting personalities.
